Registered Behavior Technician Job Description
Bluespring Behavioral Health is currently looking for part-time/full-time Registered Behavior Technicians to work children and adults in a highly individualized and supported environment. Not certified? WE TRAIN YOU! Therapy sessions are carried out in the client’s home, school, or in the community. We are looking for motivated and driven candidates to grow with our organization and work well with our team. The Duties Of The Behavior Technician Are
  • Working with the client in a number of skill areas, such as conversation skills, self-help skills, and behavior reduction.
  • Integrating the client’s caregiver into therapy sessions.
  • Data collection and making data-based decisions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach individuals with developmental delays.
  • Attending team meetings and coordinating with a team of clinicians.
  • Traveling to the home or locations of client sessions

Required Experience:
  • This position requires a car, and willingness to travel throughout Nashville, TN and the surrounding areas.
  • High school diploma, Associates degree or pursuit of degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field.
  • Experience working with children, teens, or individuals with disabilities.
  • RBT experience preferred, however, we will train you
Our clinicians train through the Florida Technical Institute’s Applied Behavior Analysis RBT training program that provides an opportunity for personal and career growth. Registered Behavior Technicians with FIT advance their communication, professional, and therapeutic skills, while working individually and alongside a team of therapists. Strong candidates will be able to display a commitment to helping individuals advance through life by helping them develop to their highest potential.
Pay Range: $14 to $18 per hour, depending on field experience and education level

​JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title-Special Education Teacher
Reports To: Clinical Director & Headmaster 
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-3:00pm 
[Follows Wilson County School Calendar]
The Bluespring Day School mission is to provide individualized special education to students who have learning, mental, emotional or physical disabilities. Educators will adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects including social-emotional learning to students with various disabilities. Basic academic and functional living skills will be taught to all Bluespring students. The student's curriculum will be tailored based on their current learning levels. We will continue to assess each student throughout the school year to challenge them and meet their academic goal.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors or higher in educational field, Special Education preferred. 
  • Minimum 2 years in Special Education field
  • Experience implementing specialized special education curriculum 
  • Must be willing to learn about ABA therapy
  • Knowledge of TeachTown and Dojo communication platform preferred, not required
  • Knowledge of Google G Suite
  • TN teaching credential preferred, but not required.

​Responsibilities and Duties
Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curriculum and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned. Our staff are committed to meeting students where they are by providing an intimate and encouraging academic environment. Our staff honors the students as individuals and values their diverse learning style, fostering students' personal growth. Ratios are 7:1.

Planning

Develop weekly appropriate curriculum for each student’s individualized needs. Plan monthly bulletin boards, newsletters, yearbook content, field trips, parent-teacher conferences and open house tours and meetings.

What you will do:
Our Behavior Analysts work as valued members of our teams to provide high quality ABA therapy, assessment, consultation and supervision services for our clients, as well as ongoing support and supervision for their team members and the families they serve. As a BCBA at Bluespring, you will:
  • Conduct assessments across multiple learning domains such as language, academics, social skills, and functional life skills
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Conduct functional assessments of problem behavior and develop behavior intervention plans as needed
  • Design and implement data collection procedures and make data-based decisions to update treatment plans as needed
  • Supervise and train clinical staff in Verbal Behavior and ABA techniques
  • Provide training and instruction to parents on behavioral strategies and implementing ABA teaching methods in the home
  • Perform fidelity checks and provide feedback to Behavior Technicians
Requirements
What experience you will need:
  • Credentialed with Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Familiarity with a variety of assessment types including the ABLLS-R and VB-MAPP assessments
  • Experience creating individualized treatment plans with an emphasis on skill acquisition
  • Experience analyzing problem behavior and creating individualized intervention plans to reduce problem behavior
  • Ability to work 1:1 with children and young adults by applying and implementing behavior analytical techniques across a variety of settings including home-based, clinical-based, and school-based environments
